Error while running selenium scripts on Windows 7 and IE8??

When you run your test script on Windows 7 and firefox it will run. IF you want to run the same test script using windows7 and IE it will give an error...

To avoid that error we need to change the security settings in IE8.

Steps:
Open IE 8
Go to Tools-->Internet options--->Security tab.
Uncheck the Enable protected mode check box.
Click Apply and OK.


Your problem will be solved.......

    This solved my IE problem. But I am having the same problem with firefox, chrome. Do you know how to fix that.

    I believe everything said made a bunch of sense.
    But, what about this? suppose you added a little content?
    I ain't saying your information is not solid, however what if you added a title that grabbed people's
    attention? I mean "Error while running selenium scripts on Windows 7 and IE8??" is kinda plain.
    You could glance at Yahoo's home page and see how they create news titles to get viewers to open the links. You might add a video or a pic or two to get readers interested about everything've got to say.
    Just my opinion, it could make your posts a little bit more interesting.

    Thank a lot for the post,

    I am using selenium webdriver and windows 7 with IE9.
    We have been struggling with this issue for last 3 days and i followed the same approach. (i unchecked the protectedmode checkbox). it didn't work out for me.
    can you please tell me any other approach to make it work.
